My name is Gohar Mekikchyan.
Director of "Gorov" Kindergarten
Dear parents,
I am Gohar Mekikchyan, director at"Gorov" preschool. Eighteen years of experience in pedagogy has given me the opportunity to learn all about the advantages and disadvantages of the field. As a result, it became my goal to create a preschool that will offer a safe and comfortable environment for children’s development and education and will prepare them for the future. Gorov has adopted a new child-centered approach to education, since traditional teaching methods no longer provide the skills and abilities necessary for children to achieve success in the modern world.
The curriculum at "Gorov" preschool is rather in-depth and extensive.
How do we plan to teach our classes without causing children any stress?
“Gorov” is the first private preschool in Armenia that has a license from the Swedish Folkuniversitetet University to educate children with the Problem-based learning (PBL) method. PBL is used by the world's leading universities, schools and preschools. It allows educators to teach even the most complex topics, by engaging children in a fun and interesting learning process. The skills children develop do not just translate to one subject or topic, they can be applied to a plethora of subjects as well as the life beyond.
